Bioclen FR@One Step
To perform proper lens care is vital for the protection of the eyes. Without daily cleaning and disinfection, bacteria and fungi will grow, thereby increasing the risks for eye infections to occur. To meet this need, Ophtecs has developed Bioclen FR, as a safe and efficient care product for all types of Frequent & Planned Replacement (FR) contact lenses, including silicone hydrogel lenses.

Bioclen FR One Step, is a unique product with strong disinfection power. As the only product on the market of its kind it uses Povidone-iodine as disinfectant, and includes Proteolytic enzyme (Protease) as protein remover. Bioclen FR is highly effective against all major bacteria and fungi that can cause problems for contact lens users. Due to the included Povidone-iodine, Bioclen FR completely kills acanthamoeba *

For the removal of protein residue from the tears, especially denatured protein, Proteolytic enzyme Protease) is Included. For proper removal of oil and fat and metallic ion deposits, Poloxamer and EDTA are included.

As for Hydrogen peroxide based solutions, neutralization is needed. However, in the case of Bioclen FR, the neutralization process takes place simultaneously, while the lenses are being disinfected. Complete cleaning, disinfection, and neutralization, is completed after only 4 hours.

Bioclen ONE
All-in-one MPS
Bioclen One is an all-in-one multipurpose solution for the cleaning, storing and rinsing of various types
of soft contact lenses. Bioclen One satisfies the primary test criteria in the ISO gStand-Aloneh disinfection testh*. Due to the included PHMB, Bioclen One efficiently kills the most common types of bacteria and fungi on contact lenses.

Bioclen One is also effective against the build-up of protein residue and fat deposits on the lens, due to
the included Poloxamer. Bioclen One has furthermore been enhanced with Disodium Edetate (EDTA) to remove ion deposits such as calcium residue. The ability of Bioclen One to remove un-denatured protein dirt (the most difficult protein dirt to remove), and the cleaning efficiency of Bioclen One is thus on pair with major brands of multipurpose solutions.

Bioclen One is CE certified as a No-rub solution.

*ISO14729_2001

Key Ingredients
¡PHMB: Polyhexamehylene Biguanide is the most commonly used contact lens disinfectant. It works by destroying the membrane of microorganisms like bacteria and fungi.

¡Poloxamer: A surfactant that helps to remove protein and fat deposits on the lens. It works by
gpulling-offh the protein and lipids that adhere to the surface of the lens. Poloxamer also has an ability to retain moisture on the lens.

¡EDTA: Disodium Edetate, removes ion deposits such as calcium residue from the tears.
It works by electrically combine itself with the metallic ions, and then gliftingh these away from the
surface of the contact lens.

Usage of Bioclen ONE
Wash
Wash and dry your hands before handling lenses.@@
Place a few drops of Bioclen ONE on each lens surface
and rub both sides gently 20 to 30 times.

Tiare-f
Dry eye problem
Problems with dry eyes are a worldwide growing problem. These days many people are spending more time on work that requires intense visual concentration. Combined with the influence of the use of air conditioners or age, moisture is evaporating faster from the eyes than what can be replaced by the natural tears. Contact lens users are very familiar with this situation, where the contact lenses are "draining" moisture from the eyes so they feel dry.

Tiare-f - a solution
Tiare-f are single-use, sterile and preservative-free, lubricating eye drops. Being preservative-free they
can safely be used by people with very sensitive eyes. This is why Tiare-f is recommended for all contact lens wearers, and others, who have problems with dry eyes. Tiare-f has been especially formulated to protect the surface of the eyes by adding Sodium Hyaluronate and HPMC, and by including ingredients, which are equal to those found in the natural tears.

Tiare-f is a CE certified product.

Key ingredients
¡Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride and other ingredients present in the natural tears.
¡Sodium Hyaluronate, is a moist keeping ingredient, which is widely used in cosmetics. In contact lens solutions, Sodium Hyaluronate creates a gcushionh of moisture on the surface of the contact lenses and the eyes. This makes the movements of eyelids and the contact lenses more smooth and comfortable. Sodium Hyaluronate also helps to keep moisture in the eyes.
¡HPMC, (Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose), with similar functions as Sodium Hyaluronate. HPMC relieves eye dryness and irritation caused by reduced tear flow. Both Sodium Hyaluronate and HPMC help to stabilize the natural tear film on the surface of the eyes, thus suppressing the creation of dry spots.

To ensure that the eye-drops are always fresh, Tiare-f is packed in boxes containing 30 x 0.5ml single-use, preservative-free, doses.

Usage
Before fill MPS in lens case, apply 1 drop of Clenstar. After that, rub lens with your fingers and then immerse the lens in the lens case at least for 4 hours.
Before wearing lens, soak the lens thoroughly, then wear lenses on your eyes.

OPI
Irrigating solutions
Current irrigating solutions used during ocular surgery fall into two categories; ginorganic ion solutionsh and goxidized glutathione containing solutionsh. Inorganic ion solutions are ready to use products, which,
however, do little to protect or aid the recovery of ocular tissues damaged by surgery. Oxidized glutathione containing solutions provide some protection against damage caused by free radicals released by light or phacoemulsification. However, this category of solutions has a greater risk of contamination since two solutions has to be mixed prior to use.

One-Step Solution
OPI is a sterile and preservative free, one-step, iso-osmotic intraocular irrigating solution, designed to be used during cataract surgery, glaucoma and vitreous-body surgeries. The OPI solution helps to maintain ocular structure and hydration of the intraocular tissues during surgery.

OPI Advantages
One advantage of OPI is that it contains D-ƒÀ-HBA for the protection of corneal tissue. D-ƒÀ-HBA is chemically very stable in aqueous ophthalmic formulations, whereas oxidized glutathione needs to be pre-mixed with a solution before use.

What is D-ƒÀ-HBA ?
¡D-ƒÀ-HBA is a natural occurring part of the human body, where it functions as a ketone body,
produced by the hepatocytes, the kidneys and the astrocytes.
¡HBA is maintained below 0.1 mM in blood, and approximately 20ƒÊM is present in human tear.
¡Used as oxidative fuel and lipogenic precursor in various organs and tissues.
¡HBA maintains corneal endothelial cell junctions and protects the integrity of the
Blood-aqueous barrier.

Other advantages of OPI are
¡Laboratory tests has shown that OPI can prevent the functional breakdown
of the corneal endothelium better than oxidized glutathione.
¡OPI is effective in controlling endothelial swelling.
¡Clinical trials have confirmed that OPI can safely and effectively be used during ocular surgery.
¡OPI is a one-step irrigating solution, which does not need to be mixed before use.
¡OPI is delivered in an easy to handle LDPE plastic bag, which is covered in a 100% gas tight,
3 layer plastic film.
¡The OPI bag can be EO sterilized, which makes it possible to include OPI in surgical
custom packs, since no EO gas can permeate the outer plastic film.
¡3 years shelf life.
¡OPI is a CE certified product, classified as a Class IIa medical device.
¡Multi label language: English, French, Spanish, German and Italian.
